Online Resources For Natural Beauty

by Amy Maurer

Natural Beauty.....Are there any online resources?

The internet holds a wealth of knowledge, but can often be overwhelming.   Finding resources and information for a specific topic or interest can be cumbersome and time consuming.

A prime example is natural beauty information; interest in the topic is growing at a rapid speed. Yet it is still difficult to find the most timely information and resources in a quick and easy manner. More often than not it takes a whole day to search for that elusive tidbit, when it really should take a matter of minutes. Indeed there are some great resources on the internet helping to guide our efforts to learn, use and share natural beauty information and products.  But where are they?

We have combed the internet and found some of the online resources to save you from endlessly searching.

My favorite Christmas gift was actually a Christmas Tree. We had a artifical tree, like six foot and it was not a real tree. My brrother called and said they were going to a tree farm so naturally I went and took my i year old son with me. My husband was half asleep watching the basketball game so when I mentioned to him I might get a real tree he naturally agreed. Of course he wasn't paying attention. Long story short I found a beautiful tree, it was 10 ft. and meant for a mall or something along that line. After paying my $10.00 and having them load it with a tractor in the trunk of my car I headed for home. My son, brother and very unhappy mother following just to watch my husband when he discovered my beautiful tree. Well, he cut enough off the bottom for a small tree, got it inside, put a roofing nail in the corner and tied it up. Course he realized he should have paid more attenrion. The tree was huge and we didn't have enough ornaments, my son picked up a piece of curling ribbon from wrapping and threw it on the tree. Perfect for 20 years we have had curling ribbon on our tree and inspired others to do so also. It's not always the presents in a material form but the memories and things that mean the most to us.

About 20 years ago we were pretty broke. My husband used his Christmas bonus money to buy me a strand of pearls for Christmas as he knew it was something that I always wanted. This past year the clasp broke and I took it to the jewelry store to be replaced. They sent it away for repair and unfortunately the repair place was robbed and my pearls were among the things taken. The jewelry store replaced them with some of equal value, but the sentimental value is gone and I have yet to wear the replacement ones. They just do not mean the same.
