Our Director of Brand Communication, Christina Polychroni, is documenting her current trip to Burkina Faso. This is her fourth post.
On our first full day in Burkina Faso, we also visited the village of Bozo, where we were very excited to see entrepreneurial efforts from local women, with the support of L’Occitane and the non-profit organization Entrepreneur Du Monde- helping women through microfinance programs that offer loans, savings management, and training , placing very poor families on the path to sustainable development. Here are some pics that show women that participate and also lots of smiling children, that always greeted us excited, especially when they would have the picture taken.

Also, with the help of the non-profit organization Aide et Action, L’Occitane has sponsored literacy centers , where women can learn to read and write- we visited a center in the village of Bourra...enjoy the picture of the women, with children sleeping tied on their back.

And pay attention to the little boy that is turning the wheel so that water continues to come out of the village water well!

More to come tomorrow!
