Myrtle is a shrub with fragrant white flowers that grows in the Corsican maquis – the island’s wild scrubland. The aromatic scent of myrtle is typical in this region. A symbol of life, Myrtle can live up to 300 years and possesses outstanding regenerating powers. According to legend, it can even grow back after a fire.
