Wild pansy - Viola tricolor

  • Description
    • The wild pansy is an annual or perennial plant that grows up to 3 to 40 cm and comes in many forms. Its flowers can be white, yellow, blue, violet or multi-colored. It grows in grassland or on cultivated land throughout Europe and temperate Asia. Many different varieties are grown.
  • Traditions
    • The wild pansy appeared in the 16th century in European medicinal texts. It is popularly used as a purifying ingredient, most often to treat skin conditions: eczema, impetigo, acne, etc.
  • Properties
    • Wild pansy has softening and moisturizing properties.
