Lemongrass - Cymbopogon citratus

Lemongrass is a perennial grass that grows to a height of 1 to 2 meters, with long, sharp-edged leaves and panicles of multi-branched flowers. It has a pronounced lemon-like scent and flavor. This Indo-Malaysian plant, which is only found cultivated, has spread throughout all tropical regions.
Lemongrass stems have long been used in Asian cuisine. It is also grown to repel mosquitoes.
