Emmanuelle Wiramus fell in love with ceramics by chance at age 45, after taking a creative workshop during pregnancy. Following this utter revelation , this creative took “a 360-degree turn in 2009” by setting up her own studio .

Among the most famous collections of this now experienced artist are the white ceramic mugs numbered in color. A collection with a history since it was an American customer, annoyed by the amount of cups used by his colleagues, who asked her to create numbered cups so that everyone had their own and the waste would stop. Clever!

Emmanuelle Wiramus also create vases or bowls according to her inspirations, some decorated with boat ropes, and even bowls for kids, engraved with their name, “a nod to the Brittany bowl” of her childhood, as she points out .

Meticulous, the artist who "loves inventing" while maintaining the look of a “one-off piece” takes about three weeks to create a complete series, from modelling the clay, drying, decorating, firing and enamelling... Emmanuelle Wiramus exhibits her works from November 21 to 24 at the Le Ruban Vert gallery in Aix-en-Provence, reason enough to begin your Christmas shopping, especially as there is something for every budget, with small decorative items starting at just 10 Euros...
