Escape to the Lérins Islands

Facing the Bay of Cannes, just a few minutes away by boat, the Lérins Islands offer a complete change of scenery. Wild fauna and flora, a turquoise sea... Here, nature dons its most beautiful finery!

Far from the bustle and extravagance of Cannes, the Lerins Islands transport young and old alike the time of a not-to-be-missed escapade. This magnificent Mediterranean archipelago made up of two islands will leave you speechless, and astound you with the beauty of its landscapes. On the program are mysteries, discoveries, relaxation, but also cultural tours. There’s something for everyone.

On the Île Sainte-Marguerite and its 152 hectares of forest, many cultural treasures await you. Don’t forget to visit the Museum of the Sea as well as the fortress prison, the Fort Royal, the island’s most famous monument. Legend has it, in fact, that it sheltered the legendary character the Man in the Iron Mask during the seventeenth century. But that's not all! The Île Sainte-Marguerite also has a beautiful nature trail with exceptional flora such as Aleppo Pines, roses and white rock-roses.

Much smaller but equally attractive, the Île Saint-Honorat was founded in the fifth century. Belonging to a community of Cistercian monks, it contains many religious monuments including the famous Lérins Abbey, renowned for the quality of the wines produced there. At mealtimes, you will be pleasantly surprised by the restaurant La Tonnelle, which offers fine dining overlooking the sea. You’re in heaven.
