It’s hard to resist the Moulin de Vernègues… This hotel, that has segments going back as far as the 13th century, is the perfect compromise between tradition and modernity. The former mill with its thick walls and its guest rooms coexist for a year now with a modern extension by the architect Olivier Sabran. Juxtaposed with the old stones are buildings with clean lines composed of associations of wood, zinc and stone, linked by graphic footbridges made of open latticework. The visitor has the choice of the hotel’s 100 rooms and can experience a decoration with Provençal inspirations perfectly in the spirit of the times, between Cézanne-esque colors and a minimal architecture with Scandinavian accents. The Moulin de Vernègues gives the impression of a guesthouse, with a warm welcome, a quality restaurant run by the chef Emmanuel Delorme that spotlights local produce, and a homely atmosphere. If you look out the window, you will perhaps glimpse the golfers, and an alley of century-old Plane trees. Since December 25, the Moulin de Vernègues is home to a L’Occitane spa that provides all the well being invented by the brand, between specific treatments, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna. A dream come true? You’re right.
