Felice Varini: Full-Scale Art on the Roofs of Salon-de-Provence

Until December 1, admire the work by Swiss artist Felice Varini, comprised of two red circles drawn on the roofs in the town of Salon-de -Provence.

From a specific viewpoint, on the north court terrace of the Château de l’Emperià, you will see two huge red circles appear on the roofs, buildings and even chimneys of Salon-de-Provence.

This work was thought up by Felice Varini, a Swiss contemporary artist, as part of the Marseille- Provence 2013 European Capital of Culture program.

To achieve this result - as stunning as it is spectacular - long hours were needed at night marking 56 facades with projectors. It’s especially painstaking work, since it’s not paint but colored adhesives that are applied during a genuine acrobatic act! Get some altitude to admire this full-scale artwork.
