Angelica - Angelica archangelica

Angelica grows incredibly fast due to its exceptional ability for self-hydration. Angelica water reinforces skin’s natural hydration, while stimulating the synthesis of aquaporines, water channels of the skin that ensure circulation and hydration to the heart of epidermal cells. The essential oil, made from the roots, has toning and stimulating properties. For skincare, angelica essential oil protects skin from free radicals and improves its elasticity. The essential oil is distilled from the roots, and is traditionally recognized for its stimulating and toning properties.

>Lavender – Lavandula Angustifolia

This little purple flower fills the mountains of Provence with its vibrant color and scent. According to our elders, its essential oil possesses purifying and relaxing properties.

Sweet Orange - Citrus Aurantium Dulcis

The essential oil, obtained by cold pressing the peel, is traditionally used for its energizing properties and its fresh and invigorating scent.

Ylang-Ylang - Cananga odorata

The name "ylang-ylang" is derived from a Malaysian word and means "flower of flowers". Its essential oil is highly sought after, traditionally used for treating damaged hair, but also for its soothing effect on the nerves.

Geranium - Pelargonium graveolens

Geranium is a perennial plant reaching 1.2 meters high, with hairy, leaf-covered stems. The essential oil is extracted from the flowers by steam distillation and is traditionally recognized for its repairing and regenerative properties.

For over 30 years, L’OCCITANE en Provence has been associating essential oils and aromachologie principles to its hair care products. Five essential oils extracted from nature work together in synergy on the hair.

The Repairing Shampoo, a natural complex of 5 essential oils and plant-derived amino acids, contains an anti-breakage complex and helps restore capillary fibers for strong and shiny hair. Its silicone-free formula also helps smooth hair scales and envelopes even the most fragile hair in softness.
