La Presqu’île Restaurant, A Gourmet’s Paradise!

Foodies take note! Ideally located between the Calanques and Bay of Cassis, the restaurant La Presqu’île has it all: an idyllic setting and divine cuisine with Mediterranean accents.
By Justine Fiordelli

Opened in 1978 in the heart of the Port-Miou neighborhood in Cassis, the La Presqu’île restaurant enjoys a breathtaking view overlooking the sea and the Calanques. A heavenly setting that makes you want to pull up a chair for lunch and dinner. In the kitchen, chef Jean Bernard Jugnon combines passion and talent to develop inventive recipes with the flavors of Provence and the Mediterranean. Seasonal produce, surprising flavor combinations, he makes every effort to satisfy the most discerning taste buds. As he likes to say “a kitchen should rest on solid foundations: produce, seasoning and precise cooking”.

As for the menu, it changes with the seasons: lobster roasted in butter and chestnut emulsion, red mullet fillet with candied kumquats and bitter orange and soy sauce, or pan-fried foie-gras, tartare of oyster and parsley emulsion... The recipes blend creativity and finesse and are served on the panoramic terrace, in a magical and enchanting setting that will leave you speechless. A true piece of paradise.
