Passionate about cooking from childhood, René Bérard gives pride of place to his talents as a chef in his hotel in La Cadière d'Azur, an establishment he’s been running with his family since 1969 and where he offers his guests a getaway devoted to the Provencal way of life. In the kitchen, fresh produce, fruit and vegetables from his garden and Provençal condiments find their way to the table by way of recipes prepared with love and skill.
Provençal stuffed vegetables, black olive tapenade, “real” tomato sauce, garlic mashed potato: René Bérard and his son Jean-François create a tasty and interesting Mediterranean cuisine. Their goal is to innovate in terms of presentation and give precedence to flavor while taking care not to adulterate the produce.
