Say OUI in Provence

Un Grand OUI, “A Big YES,” is a small company that sells dreams. Julie and Laura organize the most beautiful day of your life, and no detail escapes them. Their specialty? Bespoke weddings in exceptional sites from Miami to Rome. But the destination they care very much about is Provence.

Julie tells us the story of Un Grand Oui from Brazil, where she is staying with her husband. But Julie is not on vacation; right now she is developing weddings in Provence for Brazilians. Julie, founder of Un Grand Oui and a seasoned globetrotter, has a gift for uncovering the most beautiful settings for your wedding, and she takes care of everything so that the emotional aspect of this so special day is equal to the expectations of the bride and groom and their family. Accompanied by Laura since 2011, Julie develops what she calls “destination weddings,” they’re weddings which take place outdoors usually with a civil ceremony in a garden by a professional celebrant and the elaboration of a personalized oath for the ceremony. An American concept. Julie and Laura take care of every last detail and make life easier for foreigners who wish to say “yes” in a country other than their own, in regard to both the administrative and creative aspects.

The atmosphere of Un Grand Oui’s Provencale weddings is resolutely turned towards a vintage style, a classic and romantic atmosphere made of old lace, pink fabrics, fairy lights and a sumptuous décor. The latter becomes the wedding’s backdrop: magnificent landscapes, incredibly charming buildings; Provence, like a film set, becomes the special setting for a wonderful moment. And the lavender, sunflowers or poppies, little treasures of the region, enhance the whole, naturally injecting color. This is what Julie confirms, who has just finished a wedding for two Irish people at the Château de Robernier on the French Riviera. “Weddings are like cinema, but for real! Foreigners seek the atmosphere of Provence with its perfumes, light, and cicadas, of course!” Foreign couples who call on Un Grand Oui have a higher budget and less guests who make the trip: so it’s about intimate weddings where Julie and Laura showcase local produce, from the cheeses to the fruit and vegetables, and without forgetting the wines and gifts for the guests like soap or olive oil. Lavender is tossed in the air like a perfumed nod to rice. With more and more requests each week, the wedding planners have some lovely ceremonies to look forward to.
