Ten Provençal Christmas Markets That Can’t be Missed!

Gourmet food, gift ideas… Christmas markets are a must during this festive period. Here’s our quick guide to the ones that can’t be missed!

Calling all sculptors and ceramists: Head to Worthy-les-Bains to discover its market, running until Christmas Eve at Place du Général de Gaulle, from 10am to 7pm. In Avignon, the chalets of the great Christmas market on Place de l'Horloge - filled with Provencal specialties and figurines - close their doors January 3. A few miles away, the city of Orange has a special Christmas market from December 18-23 in the city center: from gifts to decorations, you will find everything you need to enjoy a dream Christmas!

In the Alpes-Maritime region, the Christmas market in Nice reunites sixty chalets daily until January 1, from 11am to 8pm, on the Place Massena. In the nearby village of Le Cannais, you can wander the alleys of the Christmas village installed on Place de la Liberté until January 5 (perfect for latecomers)!

In need of gift ideas? Visit the Old Port in Marseille for a magical Christmas market! Soaps, jewelry, chocolates… Young and old alike will also enjoy the numerous activities on the program. Aix-en-Provence is also celebrating: until December 28 artisans welcome you with a smile on the Cours Mirabeau from 10am to 8pm. Meanwhile, the Christmas market in Saint- Rémy de Provence will be brief but intense with just 3 days to pick up some bargains from December 20-22, in the city center.

See you on the Place Carami in Brignoles from December 14 to 24 for a dazzling Christmas market! Finally, a Christmas market in the colors of New York City has a place of honor until January 5 in different places locations around the city: the Biovès gardens, Esplanade Palmero... A real wealth of gift ideas!
