Valsaintes: The Rose Path is Now Open

Entirely devoted to roses and labeled a "Remarkable Garden" by the Ministry of Culture, the Valsaintes Abbey garden thinks big with the inauguration of its Rose Path.
By Justine Fiordelli

Inaugurated on May 30 in the heart of the Provence hills in the Abbey of Valsaintes Garden, the Rose Path, built thanks to the support of L'Occitane, immerses visitors in the history of the rose and its botanical evolution over the years. This symbolic and fragrant flower comes in about 500 varieties each more astonishing than the next. Rosa centifolia, Gallica, Alba, Mousseuse or Damask: each has its own special characteristics and colors ranging from white to dark pink.

Along the way, let yourself be guided by the ancient history of the rose. On the program, growing conditions, history of the varieties, characteristics, and evolution... More than 100 species of roses can be discovered throughout this exotic journey that caters to flower lovers of all types. Throughout the tour you will come across numerous climbing roses. On the carved dry stone walls, various information panels have been installed to make the tour interactive and to fully immerse visitors in a chronological evolution of the rose. More than a garden, the place is an invitation to tranquility and relaxation. Don’t wait a moment longer to embark on this intoxicating botanical journey!
