My cuticules and fingertips are always dry because I do my nails about 3-4 times a week and my nail polish remover makes them dry. This completely restores moisture! It's AMAZING. It really helps my dry hands in the winter as well. I love to use it on my lips. If I put this on once in the morning, I won't need to reapply until before bed. I only have the travel size but I will definitely be buying the full size soon!

I hesitated before purchasing this product, thinking that it might be difficult to use. But now I am completely in love with it and will definitely recommend it to my friends. It's extremely versatile--you can add it to any lotion, cream, oil to make them richer. It works as a perfect leave-in conditioner and doesn't give the oily feeling that a regular hair oil would cause. I also use it on my lips and hands when I don't want the scent on me (this product is fragrance-free). Can't love it more!

This stuff is absolutely amazing and is what turned me on to L'Occitaine. This has become the staple of my skin moisturizing. I have combination skin and am using Shea as a preventative measure against aging. I use this all over because I just can't help myself! As soon as it sinks in there is nothing like it. There is no scent that will conflict with perfume or other moisturizers that you might use during the day. Within a matter of days my skin is glowing and as soft as the day I was born.

I have very very dry skin. I bought the large tin and then just bought the travel sized tin and carry it in my purse. I use it on my face, mouth, nose and scalp. This is the best moisturizer ever! I was introduced to it while i was pregnant as a way to minimize itching dry skin and the results are great..by far the best body butter out there. For all those moms-to-be: Save your money and time buying other stretch mark preventing products and invest in something that actually works, And this has worked for me through out my pregnancy and I will always use it.

I have no idea why other reviewers said this is greaseless. It is 100% shea butter, which is in fact 100% "grease." It is what it is. It works because it is the oils of the plant. It is an excellent product for dry hands and feet but know that it is "greasy" until it is absorbed. I was disappointed to see that they sell a travel size. I specifically asked the clerk if they had that and she said no, the only size is the large; I would have preferred the smaller size.

I purchased this at Seattle premium outlet for $12 plus tax it came out to be $13 or $14, but here only $10 dont know,why.

There are not enough compliments that I can give to this product! It has SO many uses that I'm still discovering more each day. I got second degree burns all down my leg and I was worried about scarring, so once my skin was healed I began to put this shea butter on it. A week later, I noticed the redness of the scar had lightened up quite a bit and the edges softened. This really is a wonderful product. Thank you, L'occitane, for giving me my skin back!

So much has already been said about this product, but, honestly, it is truly phenomenal. I use it everywhere and love it because its organic, fragrance free and very high quality. I agree with another reviewer that quality of shea butter varies greatly and this is absolutely the best I've used. It is fabulous for sensitive skin, dry skin, aging skin, hair, etc. It is very protective and can even be used sparingly as a daily moisturizer...the greatest!

I have this size as well as a larger size and really love this stuff! It's especially great to put on your legs after shaving and is nice because it doesn't really have a smell. It just feels good!

I put this on my face at night and I wake up with buttery soft, glowing skin! Just heat it in your fingers and gently press it in! I'm 33 with combination skin and this is my staple for New England winters. It's an incredible product and I love that it's fairly traded with the women of Africa. I have psoriasis really bad & have tried everything, even $400 prescriptions. This is the only thing that actually gets rid of my psoriasis completely. I don't know how it does it but I have tried many other shea butters and none of them have worked. You will have a life long costumer with me. This is the BEST product for prevention of stretch marks due to pregnancy. I used L'Occitane's 100% Shea Butter everyday after my shower during my two pregnancies, and I'm happy to say, that I never GOT even ONE stretch mark! A truly remarkable miracle! So my advice to expecting mothers: use this product!

I love to put this on my lips. It provides wonderful hydration all year round but especially during winter.

I was burnt in a grease fire a month ago leaving 40% of my body with 3rd degree burns. I was in the hospital for two weeks where I received skin grafts on both arms and one leg. They wanted to graft my back. I asked if I could try to heal my back on my own. I started using shea butter on my burns, grafts and surrounding skin. Because of your shea butter my skin is recovering smoother and faster than anyone at the hospital has ever seen. I won't have to get anymore grafts. Amazing! Thank you!!!!!

I love this stuff! I had surgery, and used Shea Butter on the incision site. When my Dr. saw how well it had healed and how quickly, he actually wrote down the brand and the product. I use it for dry feet, dry hands, cuticles, surgical sites everything, but brushing my teeth.

The BEST product for dry skin! I had VERY dry cracked and peeling lips and tried everything without relief. Then I used this and have it in purse size in the (10% shea chapstick) lipstick form for travel. Fabulous product for my son's eczema and my daughter's hands that crack in the winter. Non greasy, no odor, it works! Don't like the can, find it troublesome to open, but suggested to the company that they consider putting it in a jar, (which is what I did).

This is the single most versatile product there is. It can be used to treat extreme dryness (on elbows and other places prone to this problem), as a lip balm, and even as an eyebrow gel! Seriously, I shape my eyebrows using this stuff and it holds all day, better than products that are actually intended for that specific purpose. Totally worth every penny.

I've used this product for years. I use it on my extra dry hands, before putting on the moisture gloves, at night. Also, I use it on my cuticles, scratches, cuts, and even on the ends of my hair as a treatment. I feel the need to address the commment to reviewer who said she had it about a month before expiration, upon delivery. You should have called customer service so they could take care of you, before leaving that review. That isn't fair to this fine product.

I use it on my elbows and knees and now they are never dry and never look ashy!

This product is exactly what I needed during the winter months with sensitive, cracking hands. Its a little too thick for warmer months.

I love this product! I do not like the way it is packaged. I'm on Accutaine and it kills my lips. This is the ONLY product that helps!When I went into the store this product was recommended to me, however the woman did not tell me that there was a lip stick version. I really would have appreciated that!

Buyers beware! The Shea butter is great IF it isn't rancid. I bought a tin at an airport boutique. It was rancid but I did not discover it before I threw away the receipt. Now I have $40 worth of bad Shea butter and have no recourse. Disappointed in this company, won't be shopping with them again.

This butter can do a lot. I put it on my terribly swollen mosquito bites and the itch went away instantly...It also feels great on the lips.

I don't know about the new product, because I have to confess I bought several of the Lavender Shea Butter 15th anniversary tins and still use it now - although I am on my last one now. It still smells fresh and works wonders. Maybe the lavender oil acted as a preservative? At any rate, I will be running out of mine soon and want to know what people think of the new product.

This product is good, but it stinks a little, since the expiration date is 04/2011. I got the product this month, which means I only have about a month or so to finish this can. It's very potent, so it will be a challenge for me to finish it all by 04/2011. So be sure that you can finish it by 04/2011 before you order or you might be luckier than me to get one that is not expiring so soon.

This product saved the day!! I recently had a head cold where I used about a box of lotion-added tissues each day. Even though the tissues contained lotion my nose was still very red and irritated. One night I decided to put the pure shea butter on my nose and, voila!, in the morning my nose was so much better. This stuff works wonders.

My favorite all purpose moisturizer for head to toe! It may seem pricey but the tin is generous in size & will last many months.

I am sad to say I will no longer be buying this product. Every tin I have bought since it was introduced as "organic" has to be tested prior to purchasing, to determine if it is rancid or not. The product smells extremely bad soon after purchase. I will find something else. I can no longer use it on my face, which is what I relied on it for. It just smells awful. Please bring back the regular Shea Butter in this size!

I have loved Loccitane products, primarily the 100% shea butter for several years. However, I feel the need to warn others that if you invest in this large jar, expect it to go rancid. My jar was dated 12/2010, and I've had it a year, but customer service said you have to use it all in 6 months. I can't find that anywhere on the product or website, and they refuse to replace it. Don't trust the date on your tin. After giving Loccitane nearly $1,000 in sales, now I'm switching to coconut oil.

This product is excellent. I am a african american female and I have a perm (chemical) in my hair. I use this product to oil my scalp and my hair is healthier than I can ever remember it being (except for virgin hair). I also use it all over my body including my face. I will not say that this is the best shea butter that there is but I WILL say that this is the best that I have ever used and I have tried at least a dozen and a half so called 100% shea butter products and this is the BEST!

Thanks for previous reviewers. I have adult eczema, and this product is one of a few things gentle enough for my skin! Plus, it's not as greasy as other eczema products which moisturize but also cause breakouts easily.

i just had my tatttoo done. after 3 days my skin was peeling and scabbing badly. i applied Shea Butter for 2 days. and it works! my skin became soft and supple. no itchy and burning sensation anymore. my tattoo and my skin are now looking marvelous! i have kept using it for more than a year. now thinking of having another tattoo :)

I love it! That's all I can say.

I have used this for my face and my skin. I apply it at night on my face after I cleanse. I also apply it on the dry patches that I have on my face in the morning after applying the Shea Butter 24 hour Ultra Rich face cream and the Shea Butter SPF. I like to mix it with the Almond Supple skin oil when applying to my body so it is not too rich. This is great for moisturizing your feet. A little goes a long way.

I was disappointed when I received these that they have an unpleasant odor like grease that has gone bad. I had previously ordered these (on an airplane) and there was no odor, so I assume it has to do with staleness. If these are not fresh, they need to add a fragrance to cover up the smell. My mother and I have been using this product literally from head to toe for several years. It leaves our hair and body soft and smooth ( a little goes a long way) .

I love this stuff. It is small and can even fit into your purse. I wash my hands a lot, teacher and all. Really helps keeps my hands from being dry. Lips too!

My mother has had cancer twice and has beat it both times; now her granddaughter has a tumor and shes only 12. This is her second operation also. They both LOVE shea butter,because it doesn't wash off when she does dishes and she LOVES it,but she can't afford it. She also lost her husband and just went through a knee surgery a couple of months ago and she still hasn't healed;I just HOPE and PRAY it's not cancer again. This is way I know she should win; she's the best MOM and GRANNY EVER...........

I love love love this product. I use it on my feet and my nail lady told me I have one of the softest feet she has seen and I am on my feet all day in my job. My hands also don't show my age and I have to wash my hands a lot being a health care professional. I could practically sell this better than the sales clerk. In fact, I did that, sell it to another customer in the store. I am just sad that it discontinued the lavender and verbena line, love the smell. Giving it as gifts again this year.

I love the mini shea butter tin! I use it on my lips as a moisturizer. It is by far the best lip balm I have ever used. It keeps my lips moist without feeling goopy or gunky. And it stays on for quite awhile before I have to reapply. It's very smooth, so if I want some color in the winter, I will apply it first & then apply a lipstick on top. It's also the perfect size to put in your pocket. I got my boyfriend hooked on the mini shea butter, too! It is the only lip balm he'll use.

We have a 3 year-old son that was born with extremely dry skin. I tried every prescription drug. I would get his skin under control & a week later dry itchy patches would form again. He loves the water & would cry when we had to limit his water time. Apparently, moisture makes dry patches worse. A friend told me about L'Occitane organic shea butter and it has made my son's dry skin dissapear. I use it religiously every day. Our quality of life is wonderful. I have always had dry cracked skin and have tried different products with little success, even one recommended by a dermatologist. I have used L’Occitane since the early 1990’s when I worked as a flight attendant regularly traveling to France. My hands were always dry from the lack of moisture in the cabin and every cream I tried only irritated them, so I tried the 100% shea butter. It was, and is, the only hand product that soothes my dry, cracked hands. Even though I no longer fly the friendly skies, I still use shea buter every day.

I give small ones away alot, when I see people with dry hands. And it's a natural for lips and any dry areas. It is one of my absolute favorite products.

This is giant but it goes away so quickly! It's a great moisturizer or any part of the body and works well for cuts, too. I use it for paper cuts and it leaves no scar whatsoever. Also because I manually do all my dishwashing it's great for after-dishes or handwashing clothes. I absolutely recommend it along with the tiny one for bringing this everywhere with you!

This is by far my favorite product from L'Occitane. There is nothing else like it for dry skin. My hands get very dry from repeated washings, and this product melts into the skin and leaves it soft and moisturized. I also love this product for healing scratches. I have been using it on my daughter since she was born on small scratches to heal them quicker and reduce scarring and it works wonderfully. Try it and you to will be amazed.

I keep this in my purse for moisturization after hand washing while out and about. I love the small size yet concentrated product it contains. Definitely a must for every woman.

I love this little tin! I have nails again! This is the key to a lot of the products that make me feel, smell and look so much better. Put this in your hot bath, putting this in my hair makes my curls defined (but not oily looking). There is a never ending list of the ways to use this!!! If you emulsify this there are a 1000 ways!!

I was sitting on the couch one day and noticed that my legs looked like a dry riverbed and thought humm what would happen if I added shea butter. At the time I thought it was pretty nasty and greasy but it did absorb eventually (I used quite a bit). However, the best part was when I woke up----so soft and no trace of any dryness / scaliness. My husband had the worst dry cracked feet, so bad that his feet ripped holes through several sets of 1000 thread count sheets before I said put lotion on your feet or wear socks - he refused lotion and went for the ugly socks - then I came across this shea butter and thought he would like it since the container looked like shoe polish. This product is amazing. I've had trouble with calluses on my feet for two years now. I've tried every product out there and none could soften the skin on my feet. I used shea butter for one full week, applying it at night and sleeping with socks on, and on the seventh day my calluses were gone! Shea butter is amazing!

I bought this product on the island a week ago and tried it as a leave-in conditoner on my dry hair. I am of Afro descent and live on a tropical island. My hair is relaxed and sometimes dry at the ends. The Shea butter softed and condtioned my dry and brittle ends. This product is very versatile. I've used it on my hair and also as a foot cream and already I feel and see the results. Just a little bit goes a long way. It's worth every penny. The hair conditoner and shampoos are also a great buy.

Even if hands are cracked and bleeding, pure shea butter provides rapid and complete healing. Continued use prevents future problems with the corners of fingers and cuticles. It is also excellent to use on cracked heels and callouses. There is no other product available on the planet comparable to this one.
