Allocator

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales Channels, Forecasting and Distribution to evaluate selling information and forecasts to ensure allocation represents true demand.
  • Product allocation, replenishment and adjustments, including allocation of new products for specific marketing events, windows and promotions.
  • Assist in implementation of new procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stores regarding product status (new arrivals, out of stock, quality issues).
  • Provide Managers with a list of weekly accomplishments/sales performances of allocated stores.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 Years retail experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the surveys of existing conditions at new locations and transmit information to the design team in France
  • Create and manage the store opening schedule and meet the capital expenditure budget
  • Work with local architects to produce construction drawings for competitive bidding, permitting and landlord reviews
  • Obtain and evaluate competitive bids from General Contractors
  • Coordinate project kick-off meetings and communicate with corporate/retail management and project team members regarding construction progress updates
  • Attend construction job site meetings and oversee the work being done by the General Contractor
  • Prepare orders for light fixtures, signage, store fixtures, etc. and follow-up to ensure timely delivery to the job sites
  • Monitor change orders, schedules, budgets and quality of the work by the general contractor for each project
  • Prepare the Punch List and follow up with the General Contractor to make sure that all work is completed in a timely manner
  • Review and approve invoices and maintain budget summaries
  • Coordinate turn-over of stores to Retail Management and ensure that the opening dates are achieved

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of retail construction management experience in high-end retail

Responsibilities:

  • Generate executive reports on overall site health on a regular basis for sales, traffic and conversion rates.
  • Work closely with E-Commerce Program Manager and Email. Marketing/Merchandising coordinators to generate detailed sales reporting by sources of traffic.
  • Generate custom reports and produce PowerPoint presentations.
  • Standardize US, UK and France reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues reported via phone and email.
  • Logs calls into a tracking system, assigning priority level and follow up.
  • Hardware tracking and maintenance. Ensuring accuracy of equipment coming in and out of stock.

Human Resources Generalist

Responsibilities:

  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all brands across the company.
  • Writes and maintains job descriptions.
  • Maintain data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions and terminations.
  • Interview candidates for open positions.
  • Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.

Internship Program (Corporate Office)

L'OCCITANE offers different types of Internships to meet the business needs of certain departments, as well as an individual’s needs. Interns will receive a comprehensive business experience through hands on training. Examples of where and what an intern may work on are outlined below:

Human Resources:

  • Partner with a HR Generalist to support special projects for HR department (ex: Recruitment Campaign. Performance Management and Holiday Planning).
  • Support all Human Resources processes including interviewing, training, paperwork, and policy development. Marketing and Merchandising:
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure successful implementation of segment strategy for each product launch and new campaign (skincare, body care or fragrances).
  • Support both in corporate and at store level the creation and execution of a product window.

Retail Operations:

  • Partner with Operations Manager in the development and execution of the annual Store Manager’s Sales Conference from: vendor and site selection; travel arrangements and communications.
  • Support special retail projects, such as store incentive programs, policy and procedure review and enhancements.

Wholesale, and Web:

  • Partner with manager to learn specific details about product knowledge and the sales process.
  • Support special sales initiatives to help the team reach its sales goals.
 

Requirements:

  • Studying towards a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Retail interest preferred)

Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor consumer behaviour, competitor activities and performance of L’OCCITANE initiatives.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing manager to develop detailed plans for each retail marketing campaign and ensure the effective and on-time execution of all campaign initiatives including promotions, kits, signage, events, sampling, local activities etc.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to share insights with the International Marketing team and thereby influence the international product assortment and marketing plans for the US retail business.
  • Work with Retail Operations, L&D, supply chain and across the broader marketing team to ensure alignment, effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns, especially the interface with CRM, PR, merchandising and stock planning.
  • Ensure compelling and consistent communication of the brand and brand values across all initiatives.
  • Review competitor pricing and ensure appropriate pricing for all products across all channels, including an annual price review.
  • Monitor specific aspects of the retail marketing budget ensuring active monitoring and cost effective spend at all times.

Requirements:

  • BA / BSC required

Merchandising Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the monthly merchandising direction for retail.
  • Serve as the primary link between the merchandising department and the retail field, ensuring the merchandising standards are communicated and adhered to; as well as fulfilling all requests from the field.
  • Ensure our flagship stores are always in top merchandising condition, providing training and hands on assistance (requires visits 2-4 times a year).
  • Travel to retail boutiques to train store managers on merchandising techniques to maximize sales.
  • Maintain merchandising reference guide & schematics, making updates and modifications as necessary.
  • Assist in the process of new and renovated stores, including merchandising layouts and coordination of merchandising props and signage.
  • Assist in the preparation of merchandising material for the holiday seasons.
  • Help develop and implement creative ways to more effectively communicate to the L'Occitane customer through merchandising.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of solid merchandising experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with every level of the organization.
  • Very strong presentation skills with a strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Photoshop.
  • Clear understanding of visual merchandising, along with ability to create displays, tables, etc.
  • Ability to give one-on-one merchandising consultations with the sales teams in the field.

District Manager - Retail Boutiques

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall success driving sales, reinforcing operations, and store leadership development, as well as overall customer service and brand integrity for a specific district.
  • Audit store for standards in sales, operations, and merchandising as well as policies and procedures.
  • Control and optimize store schedules, payroll, and expenses.
  • Proactively analyze sales results and propose action plan for improving and increasing results.
  • Analyze and review store management team and sales associates’ performance for career growth and succession planning.
  • Assist the store management in identifying and communicating sales driver opportunities (marketing events, local advertising, shopping center publications).
  • Manage, supervise and coach staff in recruiting, hiring and training of store Sales Associates.
