Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream

This cream is magic. I never write reviews but I had to write one for this. I use it as my go-to cream for everything that ails my family. My husband uses it after he shaves to prevent and smooth his irritated skin. It also cured my son's infant skin irritations. I used it while pregnant and never got one stretch mark. I'd recommend it to anyone. It's amazing and worth every penny!

This is a great product. The cream is not greasy. It absorbs quickly into my skin. It does the job of minimizing my dry skin in the winter.

Discovered this over the holidays and it now has replaced my L'OCCITANE Hand Cream - softer and easy to apply, easily absorbed and just keeps your skin so amazingly soft and smooth!! I only wish they made this in a portable tube version too! I'm on my 3rd and 4th jars and use it on my 2-year-old son who has a heat rash during warm weather and VERY itchy skin in the winter (he'll scratch himself till he bleeds). It has worked wonders for his skin. I love the subtle scent as well. Worth it!!

I love this product. When I travel to Colorado where the air is so dry, especially in winter, this cream provides that aahhh feeling. It goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly for a rich emollient and the scent is fresh but not overpowering. I always order more when the last tub begins to get low so I am sure to not go a day without it.

I bought this to take with me on a ski trip. AMAZING! I love, love, love this cream and am so glad I got it for the winter season. The fragrance is lovely and subtle, and the texture is rich and smooth. It lives up to it's name "Ultra Rich"! BUY THIS! You won't be disappointed.

This is my second jar of Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream. I just love it and all your shea butter products as I have dry skin and they really help moisturize my skin in the cold climates.

I love the smell, it is perfect. And this stuff helps my skin to become smooth for only using it once a day.

This stuff is AMAZING. My skin is very dry in the winter, but this has helped tremendously, and I usually only have to apply once daily in the morning. All of the shea butter products are my go-to for the cold months!

Had a very dry skin condition almost to the point of looking like eczema, red rash, peeling, scaly. This product not only moisturizes to hold that condition at bay it is gentle enough that it doesn't irritate my skin!

I cannot express just how much I appreciate L'OCCITANE products. This is a wonderful example. After a couple of weeks of consistent use, I noticed that the itchy dry patches that I have been battling for years, have been transformed into a silky smoothness. It has been a couple of days since I started to use this cream on my psoriasis. Hence it is too early to form an opinion, so far so good.

Wonderful, rich and deeply moisturizing without being greasy. I struggle with patches of dry skin and even eczema especially during the winter, and this has proven to be a soothing balm and perfect preventive body cream.

I purchased this for my wife who uses this product regularly. The product is fantastic to her and she uses it for dry skin especially during winter. When I ordered it online; however, I was dismayed to learn that it is now available only in a 200 ml container. The one she had purchased earlier was a 400 ml container.

This is an awesome product. I use it on a regular basis all over, and have noticed that it has significantly diminished wrinkles in my neck area and nourishes my skin - not just soften it. It stays with me all day, but does not at all feel greasy. I highly recommend this product.

I love this cream. I am at the age that that awful crepey skin appears on the inside of your forarms. This is the only cream that I have found that takes care of it all day. Since it is a little pricey, I use something less expensive on my legs.

Creme Ultra Riche Corps is super! I have used several lotions and creams to moisturize my dry hands and arm. Skin has been flaking off my arms in all seasons for a few years now. This product has really stopped that. It is wonderful! Smells good too.

As I've aged my skin has gotten so dry. The winters are the worst and I'll scratch until I bleed. I've tried all sorts of 'lotions' but have come to love this 'cream'. It's thick and rich and after 12 hours at work I'm still not itching. The smell isn't so strong that it bothers patients or coworkers. This is all I use anymore!

This cream is great. I have always used the hand lotion, but last year while on a trip to Fl my sons, as well as a few boys on their college baseball team, were sunburned. I asked if they had any aloe, and they did not but suggested using this cream to rehydrate skin. My college sons said it was the greatest thing for a sunburn! They barely peeled after and they still use the cream now. Can get expensive when the whole family uses it, but well worth it.

I cannot rate this product highly enough. I finally found a product that provides all-day moisturizing without irritating my *super* sensitive skin.

It's high in shea but yet absorbs right in. Crazy good product and smells so good I want to inhale the entire thing! I used it to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy and also use it as facial lotion. Yes, it is perfect on the face and I have combination skin. I didn't break out and it didn't clog pores. I used to use Immortelle and thought about using this instead and now that I've tried it, it's perfect! I was worried it may be too oily or moisturizing but right after the shower, perfect!

I just got this cream the other day. It is amazing! My skin has never felt softer than after using this stuff. The scent is very light and fresh not overpowering like so many creams out there. And it soaks in right away so you don't feel greasy. Great cream!

I suffer from season eczema and this is the one body cream that moisturizes and keeps the eczema in check without making me break out or feel greasy. A little goes a long way, and the fragrance is light and unobtrusive. I would not live without this body cream now that I've found it.

A very nice light fragrance, rich but never heavy for dry skin

Greasy and smells funky to me. I know a lot of folks love the scent and the product but I just couldn't get into this one for some reason. I like the scented 25% shea butter creams more than this one specifically but if you've got drier skin and don't prefer fragrance, this cream is a miracle from neck to hands to feet, especially after exfoliating after a warm bath during winter time.

Love this body cream - but please bring back the lavender shea butter body cream!

Don't hesitate to buy this! It is amazing. It is very rich and super moisturizing. I love it so much I am going to send one to my mom! I have tried and purchased every cream there it was from a drugstore to a department store and this is truly outstanding. You won't be dissappointed!

This is the best moisturizer I have ever used.It is so thick and rich that once applied, it stays on your skin all day, protecting it from dryness. My skin dries off during winters and summers (because of allergies) and this is the perfect cream that prevents dryness. Now, my skin glows like never before.

My favorite body care product out there, hands down!! I cannot emphasis enough how soft and comfortable this makes my skin feel. My skin responds very well to Shea Butter so this was a natural choice for me. I apply it before bed to get the maximum effect from it. In the morning my hands look positively nourished. The lovely scent is a plus as well, very nice to smell as you drift off to sleep.

This is a great cream, not oily or anything. The only thing I wish they'd make is a great body lotion with some SPF in it. I put this one on every night so that's not a complaint about this, I was just originally searching for a great lotion with SPF before ending up with this brilliant cream.

I have an Autoimmune Disorder that causes my skin to be extremely dry and red. I discovered this cream after trying everything the doctors suggested, but never worked. It is the only body cream I can use that actually helps me, and doesn't sting upon application. I['m convinced there is nothing better on the market. Actually nothing that even comes close to this rich, comforting cream. It is pricey, and worth every penny. I just wish they would bring the super size back!

I love the frangrance and feel of this body lotion. It's like the shea butter hand cream. Delicious. I also reviewed the Shea butter serum; same delicious smell. Don't change the smell - please, it was good to go and it should stay that weay.

I have eczema and this product is soothing to the dry, itchy skin. It is fast absorbing and not greasy. I highly recommend it to anyone who has dry skin.

I have been using this for a number of years now and it is the only thing that keeps my skin feeling wonderfully moisturized. I would like to see the 400ml/14.1oz size available all of the time. When it is available, I buy a few of them. I totally love this cream!

This is the best moisturizer I have ever used. I love the smooth texture and the way my skin feels when I use it. I have also used the limited edtion fragrances. The acacia was scrumptiuos and the vanila was sweet.

Disappointing that this creme contains methylparaben and butylparaben, using parabens does not fit the image of "back to nature" company L'OCCITANE is trying to create. You find out the parabens only if you read the small print of the long list of ingredients on the actual packaging.

I usualy have no problems with this cream. However the container shipped to me was defective. The cream itself had a different consistency and was NOT creamy as in the past. Consequently the cream does not rub in and get absorbed properly, leaving "bits" of cream where it should be absorbed. Going to return and try to get a new container. Normally I would rate this in the highest but I can't really do that with this container.

This cream has caused a SEVERE allergic reaction that has progressively gotten worse over the last week. My husband purchased the product as a gift since I have some what dry skin. However, after the first use, I began to break out and now I am covered in rash from head to toe. Doctors have prescribed multiple sets of medication and steroids to no effect. I'm not sure what ingredients are potential allergens, but I've never had any reaction from a lotion, cream or moisturizer in the past.

I don't like some of the ingredients such as parabens, phenoxyethanol and modified corn starch... That's a shame because I love the smell and the texture of this cream :( PLEASE remove those ingredients from the cream and make it more 'natural'!

Since 2005 I've been in love with the quality and rich feel of this cream. However, I am not happy or satisfied with the fragrance and implore L'Occitane to make an alternative fragrance available to its loyal customers. Many of us cannot use perfume and rely on your wonderful product because it enhances, but doesn't overpower the senses, as in Lavender and Verbena. Since I opened the product, based on my previous knowledge of the other scents, I cannot return it. Not happy w/baby powder smell.

Glides on smooth and soaks right in. Great on the legs during the winter months when the skin gets very dry! The scent of the cream is subtle so you won't have to worry about a strong fragrance or being offensive about it. Try it!

As other customers have asked, please make the 400/14.1 oz Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream available ALL the time. Please, please, please! It's truly the best I've ever used.

This product in the hea has been the only Body Cream I use for the last 13 years. I prefer the plain Shea as I had an autoimmune disorder that has manifested in a constant skin rash and irritation. Anything but this cream, aggravates my situation. Anytime I have even used a sample from another company, my skin burns or itches. This is the best , most moristurizing and comforting cream I've ever used and I used many before I found it. Please make the larger jar available all of the time.

To Laura C., I also experienced "pilling" after using L'Occitane body creams but found the remedy on QVC. Order Item #V25830 - Micropeeling Facial Cleansing 7 Piece Cloth set. There are two body mitts in the set. After using 1 of these mitts in my shower, I never experienced pilling again. The mitt exfoliates your skin so that every fabulous drop of L'Occitane body cream is absorbed. I hope this works for you.

I am currently using this product, and unlike the others that highly praise it, I'm experiencing some problems with it. Every time I apply it to my body and after about 10 min. I see little bumps of the cream stay on my skin instead of being absorbed into my skin. It's a little frustrating because it would look as if I have little cotton balls all over my body and I'd have to dust it off. So I would have to add some water when I apply it. It sort of solves the problem.

This is the best body / skin moisturizer out there. I grew up in a tropical climate but now living in the US and the cold winters here can leave my skin looking like a reptile's. I use this cream once or twice a week (I mean, lets face it - its a bit too costly) and it really helps. Its highly effective.

This is the only thing that works for me during the super DRY New England winters! Even with humidifier going on 24/7, my skin still gets so dry that it flakes off. I've tried many different creams and this 25% Shea Butter is what cures my problem.

This is the first winter I've used this product, and it's the first winter where my legs didn't itch like crazy. I remember some evenings where I'd pull my jeans up over my calves and scratch and scratch. Since I've started using this product I haven't itched at all. I have VERY sensitive skin. I have been to the dermatologist, and tried many different razors and lotions and creams to help me with the severe razor burn I get every time I shave. This cream is amazing! It provides the perfect amount of moisture without being greasy. I use it all over, but especially on my legs after a shave. L'Occitane products work great for me- the products have no harsh chemicals to cause such poor and irritating reactions.

I absolutely love this product. I used the Ultra Rich Cream religiously during my pregnancy to prevent and manage my stretch marks. It worked like a charm. I give this as a gift to all my pregnant friends and they rave about it as well. Not only does it make you FEEL like you're ushering the stretch marks away, it also smells great and does not leave a sticky residue. I still use it post-pregnancy too!

I used to have very cracked hands in the winter months, but since I started using this cream every night at bedtime my hands are so much better. I love the cream and the fragrance of the cream is nice also.

This is a wonderful cream for very dry skin. I used this on my belly during pregnancy and did not develop any stretch marks. I recommend this to any woman who is pregnant and wants to avoid dry itchy skin and stretch marks. Check with your doctor first, though.
