I have been looking for a traditional cleansing milk for a long time, as the trend is moving towards mineral oil and foam cleansing. I still think the old french milky way is the best way to bring oxygen and protection to the skin without the harsh whitening ingredients. I pair this cleansing milk with little bit fresh egg whites as final rinse AM and PM. You will see the results in a few weeks for a even and rosy tone.

I was concerned about the new formula, as I had been so happy with the Ultra Comforting Shea and Cotton. I have
sensitive skin and saw that other reviewers did not like the new formula. Not being able to find anything similar, I gave it a try. I'm glad I did! It is still a great way to gently cleanse dry,
sensitive skin. I'd like to see the Ultra Comforting Milk brought back, but in the meantime, this is still an excellent product.

Great product, perfect for dry and
sensitive skin. I didn't even need a face cream after I used this milk. I highly recommend it.

This product is exactly what I have been looking for! It is the perfect subtleness for my
dry skin, as I am on an acne medication. It smells great. It removes makeup well. The price is a little steep, but I think it is worth it. I will continue to use this. An excellent brand overall! I also recommend the
lavender hand cream and the almond moisturizer.

This is wonderful product. Using only a small amount left my skin feeling soft & smooth. Very delicate feeling & not to heavily scented.

I have been a fan of the Shea & Cotton, Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk for a while now. I was concerned when I learned that it was being "re-formulated." (I have extra dry &
sensitive skin, and have been "re-formulated" out of many products by other brands.) This new formula though, is quite wonderful. I like the consistency of the new product better. It has a more creamy consistency, and leaves my skin feeling wonderful.
Thank you L'Occitane!

Regarding the new formula...I live in Tennessee and visiting New York is a big deal for me. And, my favorite thing to do in New York City is to visit the L'OCCITANE boutique at Rockefeller Center. When I used the old formula the experience was like going somewhere special and buying a rare and wonderful product. Using the new formula is like picking my
cleanser up at any department store in any town. Does what I want it to do, but not the same special experience.

I bought this as a replacement for the shea/cotton
cleanser that was similar to this product. Definitely not an adequate replacement - has aggravated my very
sensitive skin so much that after 3 days I can no longer use the product (notice the quot;100% Hypoallergenic" adjective is no longer on the label), does not have the same consistency/texture so doesn't leave my skin hydrated like the previous version, and smells like baby powder which I just can't stand. Definitely will not buy aga

I also want to request that the old formula be brought back. I prefer no alcohol and no
fragrance as well. I had bought 4 at a time, and I was so disappointed it wasn't the same. L'OCCITANE refunded all 4 bottles for me. However, I ended up buying the product again because I couldn't find a product that is similar. Luckily my face isn't very sensitive, I just prefer no alcohol and I don't like the new scent. Please bring the old formula back, L'OCCITANE. Thank you!

This newly formulated product is no longer for
sensitive skin. The older formula was hypoallergenic and
fragrance free, making it perfect for my skin (which occasionally breaks out with eczema). It was the only product I had ever used that actually soothed my eczema prone skin. The new formula is nothing special and definitely does not soothe my skin. Please bring back the old formula, L'OCCITANE.

This new formula is awful. If I could give it a negative rating I would. The old formula was soothing to my rosacea but this new one makes the reddness worse.

I have been using the Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk for over a year with wonderful results. Bought some more today and the sales rep gushed over the new product. Used some tonight and I was horrified to find that it is not
fragrance free. I will be taking it back tomorrow. L'OCCITANE what were you thinking??? Please bring back the
fragrance free cleansing milk that is so gentle on
sensitive skin.
Fragrance usually hides chemicals, is that what you added in the "re-formulation"?

I had been using the Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk with Shea and Cotton for several years and loved it! I purchased a new bottle in January, failing to notice that it had been "re-formulated," and am so disappointed in the product now. The cotton has been removed, alcohols and
fragrance added, and my skin is breaking out. I have tried most of the other
cleansers, but none held a
candle to the Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk with Shea and Cotton. Please bring it back!!

My experience was not pleasant when using the “improved” product as I discovered the added perfume irritated my eyes and the scent remained after washing. I will try and find the previous product as it was
fragrance free and had fewer ingredients!

Ugh! This new formula is terrible! Not for
sensitive skin. Why would you add
fragrance and alcohols to it?! PLEASE bring back the old formula. Many others agree also.
